On Monday, March 27, 2017 at approximately 9:16 AM the Dunn County E-911 Center received a report of a car vs semi-truck crash on USH 12 at CTH BB in the Town of Menomonie. The passenger car was reported to be on fire and the passenger was believed to be injured at the time of the call. The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and the Menomonie Police Department officers, and the Menomonie Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to the scene
When they arrived at the scene, they found that an automobile had been north bound on 390th Street when it failed to stop for a stop sign at USH 12. While crossing USH 12 toward CTH BB it was struck by a west bound semi-truck / trailer. Menomonie Fire Department extinguished the fire and cared for the driver of the automobile. The driver of the automobile was transported to Mayo Menomonie Hospital with serious injuries. Both vehicles drivers were alone in their vehicles.
The crash remains under investigation at this time by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office. The Wisconsin State Patrol Re-Con Team was called in to assist at the scene. The names of the vehicle drivers are not being released at this time.
