Monday, August 15, 2016

12:07 AM  Deputy came upon person acting suspiciously along County Highway H in the Town of Rock Creek.  Upon 

          further investigation deputy learned subject was just playing Pokemon Go.


2:57  AM  Deputy stopped vehicle on I-94 in the Town of Red Cedar.  Occupants were temporarily detained and 

          driver was cited for driving without a license and Possession of THC.  All were released from scene.


7:07  AM  Vehicle crash in the Town of Sherman.  Driver issued citation for Inattentive Driving.


11:11 AM  Report of adults using Methamphetamine in the presence of children in the Village of Wheeler


12:12 PM  Deputies called to a domestic disturbance in the Village of Wheeler.


7:42  PM  Report of disorderly subject in South Menomonie holding a knife to his throat.  Deputies assisted

          city police.


Tuesday, August 16, 2016

12:40 AM  Deputy stopped vehicle near exit 41 in North Menomonie for speed violation of 108 MPH in 65 MPH zone.

          Driver was issued speed citation and passenger was arrested for a Department of Corrections warrant.


3:32  AM  Person arrested in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Office after deputy observed her violating her

          probation.


10:35 AM  Report of possible erratic driver operating a milk truck on Highway 72 in the Town of Weston.  Deputy

          responded to area but was unable to locate the vehicle.


1:00  PM  Deputies and Fire/Rescue responded to a two-vehicle crash on CTY TK D in the Town of Menomonie.  One

          operator cited for Failure to Maintain Brakes on Vehicle.


1:44  PM  Report of suspicious sign in the Town of Stanton threatening to kill any dogs that trespass.  Deputy

          investigated and contacted property owner.


Wednesday, August 17, 2016

1:25  AM  Report of cows in the roadway in the Town of Spring Brook.  Deputies located homeowner to take care

          of problem.


1:30  AM  Deputies responded to report of a disturbance on Highway 12 West, Menomonie.  Man pulled shotgun on

          another and threatened him over property dispute.  Suspect fled and was located by Deputies.  Suspect

          arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Endangering Safety with Dangerous Weapon, and Bail Jumping. Second

          suspect charged with Disorderly Conduct and Battery.


5:12  AM  Semi versus automobile crash on Highway 29 in the Town of Elk Mound.  No injuries reported.


2:38  PM  Report of theft of electricity in the Town of Tainter.


3:43  PM  Deputies and investigators assisted federal agents in the Town of Elk Mound.

12:37 PM  Deputy responded to report of erratic driver on Highway 25 in the Town of Menomonie swerving in the

          roadway and throwing garbage out of the windows.


2:27  PM  Two-vehicle crash on Highway 12/29 in the Town of Red Cedar.  No injuries reported.  Driver was cited

          for Following Too Closely.


3:32 PM   Deputies responded to a report of disorderly subject in the Town of Dunn where man had threatened a

          female by displaying a gun.


4:41 PM   Report of two intoxicated subjects causing a disturbance inside a tavern in the Village of Colfax.  

          One subject attempted to strike bartender.  Deputies arrested two subjects.


8:03  PM  Report of domestic disturbance in the Village of Elk Mound.  Situation was handled without arrest.


Friday, August 19, 2016

12:42 AM Deputy stopped vehicle for driving without headlamps on.  Driver arrested for Operating Under the

         Influence.


2:49  AM Sergeant investigated suspicious vehicle that was found parked in a yard with the engine running

         in Rock Creek Township.  Contact was made with homeowner and vehicle owner identified.


6:33  AM Fire dispatched for a report of a silo fire in the Township of Hay River.


12:34 AM Report of disturbance in the Village of Downing.  Suspect arrested for Battery, Obstructing an

         Officer, and Attempted Strangulation.


1:44  PM Deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 12 between Eau Claire and Elk Mound. 

         Driver was located.


6:01  PM Deputy arrested male on warrant in the Township of Menomonie.


9:28  PM Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a vacant residence in the Township

         of Menomonie.


Saturday, August 20, 2016

12:00 AM Deputies issued two subjects underage drinking citations after contacting them on Main Street in the

         Village of Boyceville.


1:44  AM Deputies responded to a residential burglar alarm in the Town of Menomonie.


2:28  AM Deputy stopped vehicle after report of a hit and run to pedestrian on Broadway, downtown Menomonie.  

         Driver was arrested for Operating Under the Influence/Hit and Run Causing Injury.


2:36  AM Report of possible suspicious activity taking place at the Cedar Falls Boat Landing.  Sergeant

         responded and the area was checked.


7:09  PM Report of physical fight outside a residence in the Village of Colfax.  One suspect arrested by

         deputy.


9:32  PM Report of restraining order violation in the Village of Boyceville.


11:02 PM Report of subject driving intoxicated and without a driver's license.  Deputy located vehicle but

         driver was not intoxicated.  Citation issued for Driving with Suspended License.


Sunday, August 21, 2016


1:22  AM Report of loud noise/loud party in the 4100 block of County Highway D.  Deputy responded.  Subjects

         issued citation for Unreasonable Noise and warned for burning illegal materials.


3:44  AM Deputy checked on suspicious vehicle parked at business in Caryville.  Subjects were "ghost hunting."


11:46 AM Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the Township of Dunn.


3:51  PM Deputy dispatched to check the area for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Saint Croix County. 

         Suspect vehicle fled the scene eastbound into Dunn County.  Deputy responded but was unable to locate

         suspect.


8:05 PM  Custody dispute reported in the Town of Hay River.


8:50 PM  Report of a possible domestic disturbance in the Village of Colfax.  Deputy assisted Colfax Police.
