The Dunn County Sheriff's Office is concerned about keeping the community informed about the operations of the Sheriff's Office. One of the ways we accomplish this is by regularly keeping the news media, and therefore the public, informed of the events involving the Sheriff's Office and its personnel.

Press releases are generated by field supervisors and contain factual information about an event. Press releases are approved by command staff and then distributed to local news media as soon as possible.

Armed Robbery- Town of Elk Mound

 

On November 3, 2011 at 6:39 AM the Dunn County 911 Center received a report that an armed robbery had just occurred at the I94 Mart located at the intersection of STH 29 and I-94 in the Elk Mound Township.

Initial information is that two masked subjects entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. One of those subjects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects were described as Caucasian wearing dark colored ski masks.

An undisclosed armound of cash was taken and no one was injured during the robbery.

The incident remains under investigation.
