The Dunn County Sheriff's Office is concerned about keeping the community informed about the operations of the Sheriff's Office. One of the ways we accomplish this is by regularly keeping the news media, and therefore the public, informed of the events involving the Sheriff's Office and its personnel.

Press releases are generated by field supervisors and contain factual information about an event. Press releases are approved by command staff and then distributed to local news media as soon as possible.

Armed Robbery- Town of Menomonie

 

On February 22, 2012 at about 9:10 PM the Dunn Cuonty Communications Center received a 911 call of an armed robbery at the Veteran's Center of Menomonie in the Township of Menomonie.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office responded and it was reported that a male subject dressed in all black clothing entered the bar and showed a handgun. He demanded money and left the bar with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the incident and asks that anyone that may have information about the robbery or that may have observed any vehicles in the parking lot around that time contact the Dunn County Sheriff's Office at 715-232-1348.
